You and I going to raise the bar for geocaching swag, without spending a lot of money. I know the journey is supposed to be the reward, but come on. If you want McToys buy a meal. Hunt micros if you need no tangible reward. I want treasure.
Now let's make some.

Code Crane

This crane kicks harder than the Karate Kid, but it isn't swag. It's a three-dimensional puzzle you're welcome to use for your next mystery cache. Folded properly, the surfaces of the crane may be used to decode coordinates. Here's an example and here's the pdf.

I came across your blog the other day and I absolutely loved your idea for the code crane. When you mentioned that we're welcome to use it for our own cache, I knew I needed to make one. I live in Canada, so chances of me actually finding your cache is slim, but I did make the crane and found the coordinates needed had I been able to.
So, this week I've been looking for a place I can hide a new cache and make my very first puzzle cache using your idea. Thank you so much for sharing! If you'd like to see... I blogged about it here.... http://kiddlesnbits.blogspot.com/2011/09/creating-geocaches-my-newest-obsession.html
